A love in verse

You’re About

Say it’s sunny say it ain’t

Say the rain falls or it doesn’t

Say I’ve health – or a complaint

Say I’ll be lazy or I mustn’t

Just as long as you’re with me

Come what may all will be well

While it’s your face I can see

Each good circumstance will jell.

Though the telly’s bloody lousy

And the money’s running low

Even though I’m sometimes drowsy

Your smile keeps me on the go

Yes the medicine all-curing

Is that you’re about each day

And your kisses, so alluring

Mean each day I’m making hay

And it’s always been that way.

Sun said goodnight an hour ago

The garden’s in shadow, one lone bird goes by...

Uninterrupted bliss is not our scene

My poems suggest our love has nothing mean...
